Murals and Laneways of the West End: Stories of Vancouver Through Art

Vancouver’s West End is home to more than scenic views—it boasts a vibrant collection of murals that tell stories of resilience, history, and creativity. Born from a collaboration between the Vancouver Mural Festival and the West End Business Association, these artworks emerged alongside the naming of laneways like “Rosemary Brown Lane” and “Ted Northe Lane,” celebrating the figures who shaped the city. Featuring artists such as Matt Hanns Schroeter, Kirk Gower, and Jody Broomfield, the murals transform the neighborhood into a living gallery. Join one of our guided tours!
